Hey everyone! Its been a long time, but I’m back with a new old thing. Do you remember the track suits from the 90s? No. Let me refresh your memory.

A Faux Romper – M7573 and S1069
Hey y’all! I know its been a long time since I’ve blogged anything. I’m a moody seamstress, meaning if I’m not in the mood, I’m not doing it. Period! I did manage to find my creative mojo and I sewed some things. One thing being this faux romper or short set.
Camouflage and Sequin Jacket M7365
I’m the type of person that loves to wear sequin during the day. I genuinely love to sparkle. I don’t subscribe to the rule of wearing sparkle after 5. So, I present to you my mashup of a camouflage and sequin safari style jacket.

Simplicity 8392 Cropped Hoodie
Hey y’all! I hope everyone had a great summer. While it is technically fall, here in Texas, we still have highs of 90 degrees in October.
Since I didn’t post all summer, I’ll be updating my blog with items I made this summer as my schedule permits.
Let’s get started.
When I first saw the pattern for a cropped hoodie, I thought, who would wear half of a jacket? Does it keep half of your body warm and the rest cold? Well, the answer to that question is yes and yes.

Hey Y’all! I know its been awhile since a did a blog post. I have been super busy! I have at least 4 pieces finished that I have been wearing and have not photographed. Yikes!

M7505 Bell Sleeve Dress
2017 is the year of the sleeves. This is a trend that I don’t see ending for awhile. I might have one or two more sleeve projects to complete before I am done with them.
I picked up this pattern last fall from Joann, a Nicole Miller pattern, M7505. It is described as a semi-fitted dress at the bust. I picked up some denim chambray fabric and immediately cut out the pattern. Then I put it down until last week. Continue reading M7505 Bell Sleeve Dress
M7100 Bomber Jacket
I think I may have developed an obsession with jackets. Bomber jackets to be exact.
I made a floral bomber jacket last year during the McCall’s Blog sewalong, (My jacket made the photo collage on their page) using M7100. This is such a great jacket. The design elements are endless. The first one was made from a stretch floral sateen and black satin that I had purchased from JoAnn.
I loved it so much that I made plans to make 4 more. While I love making jackets, let’s be realistic, do I really need 4 bomber jackets? Yes, I do! Continue reading M7100 Bomber Jacket

DIY Heart Patch Pants
Happy New Year!
I know everyone is busy setting goals and getting excited for the new year. I was planning to do a 2017 goals and planning post, but I changed my mind. I’m easing into the new year. I guess you can say that is my plan – to ease into 2017.
Anyway, I have a quick and easy patch repair DIY. It is actually a reverse applique or patch. With a traditional reverse applique, you are suppose to layer fabric, stitch and then cut away the top layer to reveal the fabric underneath. I did mine a little different. Feel free to look up other methods.
You’re probably wondering why I decided to do a random DIY patch post. Well, my daughter came home from school right before the break with holes in the knees of her black pants. These pants were still fairly new, while I was upset I decided to just repair them.
Here is what you need. Continue reading DIY Heart Patch Pants
