A Little Flounce – M7542 View B

Remember when I said I was stepping out of my comfort zone of T-shirts? Well here I am diving face first with this top with plenty of sleeve action.

This is view B from Mc Calls M7542.

I used a gray chambray (it looks blue, but I promise that it is gray) that I purchased from JoAnn.

Modifications: I remembered to add 2 inches to the length of the bodice. When I made view A, I forgot to do this. I also did a narrow hem on the flounce of the sleeves.

This pattern sews up fast and easy. Overall, I’m undecided on this top. I love the look, but it is not practical for my lifestyle of running around with the kids. I think it is perfect for a date night or girls night on the town. I will wear it a few more times before I decide.

I am thinking about making view D of this pattern because it has a nice flounce with out all of the drama, but for now I am putting this pattern to the side. I have a bomber jacket on my cutting table waiting to be made.

More akward pictures of me trying to model this top. Enjoy!

What do you think? Should I make view D or move on to something else? In case you missed it, you can check out view A here.

  1. Looking good GORGEOUS, hit them with the sleeve action. I like the shot but where is the wind machine Ms. Jackson, LOL?
